Photography has taught me to look for beauty in everything, like this box of leftover flower petals I found on my mom's porch, soon to be discarded. This is literally about to become trash. Yet I was drawn to this instead of the planted flowers they came from. If I had just taken a picture of the flowers alone, it wouldn't tell a story in the way this photo does.
