Negative space is the theme this month for my Life + Lens blog circle. This came pretty easily to me--after all, it was turn to choose the theme this month and I'm obsessed with negative space! I just love a simple, pure photo with a lot of wide, open space.
Here's a sneak peek at our vacation to Holden Beach, NC:
Normally with images with negative space, I have the subject for off to one side, but this was one of those rare instances where I liked the subject centered (mostly). Doesn't he look so small in front of the wide ocean?
Holden was just in awe at the ocean. I love this image because it shows exactly how I will always remember our first time to the ocean together; I just sat back and watched him take it all in. He had such a blast digging in the sand and finding seashells. I know he won't remember this vacation when he's older, but I'll never forget the way he laughed, how he stopped every now and then to let the sand squish between his toes, or how excited he got every time we saw a seagull or a pelican.
Now on with the blog circle... please check out Leslie's Life + Lens post here!
